TrimmerAdviser Annual Scholarship Program
Trimmer Adviser, a leading platform for personal grooming, pet care and gardening education would like to announce its essay competition for the prize money of $1,000. This amount will be used to pay for the learner’s tuition fee and will be paid directly to their institution of learning.
Program Deadline: The submission phase for essays commences 1 September 2019 and ends on the 30th of September 2020. The winner will be announced and appropriate communication issued by 30 October 2020.
Who Is Eligible?
Qualifying essays have to be written in English and by students of accredited institutions.
The application essay should be based on a topic related to the following fields:
Essay Format Guidelines
The essays should be argued logically and be backed by the appropriate academic references where necessary (a minimum of two recent peer-reviewed studies). The minimum word-count is 500 words and the maximum is 1000 words.
Please us Times New Romans font, size 12 and a spacing of 2. For referencing please do so using APA or MLA formatting guidelines.
Note: We have a zero-tolerance policy on plagiarism. Applicants are requested to only submit their original work.
How To Apply
Students will be required to send their completed essay documents to firstname.lastname@example.org. They should also attach documents confirming that they are current students of their institution of learning. This can be done by attaching a school/college/university identity card (or any other relevant document) along with the application essay.
Please note that the essay has to be received before the allocated deadline. Any essays received after midnight (UTC -06.00) of 30th of September 2020 will not be considered.
Personal Details Required
The applicant will be required to write their full name on the document of the essay along with their school/college/university admission number and major.
About The Prize
The creation of this prize was informed by the need to support education for students from deserving backgrounds. Also, the essay competition was conceptualized as a way to let students explore and express their creativity on various topics of global importance.
Through this initiative, Trimmer Adviser aims to promote pioneering initiatives with the potential to foster the development and diffusion of the values of sustainable living.
We particularly would like to encourage students with GPA scores of above 2.5 to apply. Learners who, given past performance, do not meet this target are advised not to make this application.
We do not provide direct cash rewards to our winners. Instead, we channel the prize money to the winner’s school finance office. Please note that no additional funding will be provided under this program.
All submitted essays will be evaluated by a committee of experts from the Trimmer Adviser team. This will be done with an emphasis on adherence to the deadline period, topical relevance and quality of the overall essay.
